I was wondering if anyone has decided to start or has been on an alternate route for healing their ailments by means of chiropractic practices? Dont be offended by the subject title, that was just used as an eye catcher. We had a wellness thing at work today and a chiropractor was there giving massages. I of course enjoyed the free therapy, and was wondering if anyone else has tried this for their IC and other issues and if it has been beneficial, or to expensive. How about your overall health, has there been a change in other aches and pains or a better immune system? Just curious, I feel depressed when I see just how much I spend a month of maintenance pills and im only in my twenties. :help:

yup your post caught my eye, LOL.
i used to see a chiropractor BEFORE i was diagnosed with IC & i think he was great!! they def. help IMO. my general overall health was so much better when everything was where it was supposed to be.
I also used accupuncuture after i was diagnosed with IC & it was wonderful, i stuck with it for 6 months, but then it got too be too much $ & had to stop.
I always recommend doing something natural before going to traditional Western meds...unfort. I am out of natural options for myself.
GOOD LUCK TO you!!

I was seeing a chiropractor for my fibro and going through a whole treatment program with him and then my IC flared up when I had been in a 7 year remission. . I sometimes think the PT I was doing at their clinic spurred the IC flare . . .then they tried a tens-type unit and all kinds of stuff to help the IC and none of it worked. My fibro was better for a few days after each adjustment but I had to go regularly. Now it's been well over a year since I've had an adjustment and my fibro pain is better than ever just from being pregnant and the hormones.
