Jill,
This was going to be my next post. I have a really hard time telling IC from Vulvodynia. When I am in this much pain it all hurts and goes all the way down my legs. Can you refer me to that research article? Thanks.

Sorry to say, I don't know where this article came from, that you referr to..But, my Chiropractor told me the same thing about the nerve/spinal issues years ago, and also from the "way MD's do surgery so roughly on women abdominally"...also that. "The AGA hasn't a clue about mapping our nerves in that region, and GYN's aren't taught this in med school"
..no surprise there. I have always thought that that first surgery (exploratory)that I had, when that nurse did the catheter, and it bled..that she went too far..My poor bladder was never the same after that surgery or that cath, post surgical.. I didn't want it.. I was awake,,she forced it into my bladder through my screams of protest..From that day on I suffered the like the damned and no one ever listened for years..finally my URO found IC..thank goodness for her. In fact she told me NOT to see Male GYN's for this same reason..She later opened up a womens only office... We love her, the best in CT.
