Could you ask for something different, like Vicoden? And how are you in terms of what you can eat...if you can tolerate lemonade it could help with stones. (Believe it or not, your urine will more alkaline after ingesting lemon juice than if you just drank plain water).
But if lemonade or applejuice are out....try keeping up on your consumption of water.
Hope you feel better soon! :)

Hi....I just recently passed three kidney stones in the past 3 weeks...so I can definitely relate to the pain you are feeling. Laying down always helps me. I would recommend Vicodin for the pain, Darvoset does very little for me as well. Make sure you take Motrin or Ibuprofin as well. Kidney stones are the most painful thing I have experienced, much more than IC....and waiting for them to pass is the worst part. Drink, drink, drink!!! The more you drink, the more chance there is for the stone to pass in your urine. Good luck and I hope they pass soon!!

Oh no! Those are terribly painful! I would definately call your URO, PCP, or GYN and fill them in and ask if they will r/x you something stronger. Best to do that ASAP in case they r/x something that cant be called in over the phone. If by some chance they dont call you back today, it would still be worth calling the on call Dr. since they can at least call you in some Lortab or Ultram. (If you dont have any Urojets, ask for some of those too. They can help numb the urethra which will be a good thing when you are trying to pass stones!)
Meanwhile, call someone to come look after the kids for you and ask them to pick you up some AZO Standard and Gatoraide or Pedialyte on the way. The AZO will help to numb things up a bit and will also help w/ freq/urg and burning. The Gatoraide and Pedialyte are good to have on standby to keep you hydrated, in case you start throwing up, (which is another fairly common symptom with kidney stones.)
I am so sorry they didnt give you something stronger for your pain! I hope the stones pass quickly for you and that your Dr will help you out.

There are many people with IC who find that Ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil) cause bladder problems.
