Ok, my 10 yr old has her nirthday next month and here are the 3 things I gave her a choice of. She can't decide. She wants them all of course. So you guys help me to decide which one you like. Remember it's 10 yr old girls. And I don't really care, I came up with all so I like them all:

option 1: go to the beauty salon and each get a pedicure and manicure then go out for pizza and sleepover.

option 2: go ice skating at the olympic ice rink, then go to the Mayan restaurant that is like a rainforest and has cliff divers inside no sleep over

option 3: take the kids to toysrus and each have them chose a toy and then take the toys to some sick kids at the local hospital, then go out for pizza and have a sleepover.

now on option 2 the reason for not having a sleepover is the 2 places we would be going are quite a drive from our house and it's going to be pretty spendy to go the restaurant.

Let me know which you like OR if you have any other ideas PLEASE let me know.

thanks,
jill

I'm all for #3. I think life lessons are very important. It would be fun for them to shop for toys knowing that they would be giving them away to someone who needed them to help make them happy because they are sick. Especially when you add in the Pizza and Sleepover.

My son took very good care of his toys while he was growing up because he understood that he would be giving them away to other kids when he outgrew them. He loved going through his toy box and pulling the ones he wanted to give to some one else. I remember one occasion when he did this. He pulled out what used to be his favorite toy and exclaimed that now it could be some other kid's favorite one. That doing that would make the toy happy. He still loves to give.

Now, so you do not think he was totally unselfish and the best child ever, you need to understand we would do this before Christmas. He knew that between my parents and me, he would be getting most everything that he put on his Santa List. I think he thought that might not happen if he didn't have room in his toy box for the new ones. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Oh they all sound like much fun!! You could always do a draw on them.. Put them all in a box and have the B'day girl draw one out..My sister in law did the first one with the pedicure and manicure for her 12 year old and they all had a blast.. And if she does not draw the one out about taking the toys to needy kids then the Christmas idea would be a great idea..

I like the third option, but it sounds pretty expensive.
