I keep reading about this "new" instill treatment that Parsons developed but it appears to me he's just getting FDA approval for a treatment other drs have already been doing right? Is this correct or can someone confirm there is something special about his cocktail that hasn't been used before??

I am not sure...but I think this is what you might be talking about. Dr. Parsons is my doc and he uses Heparin, Bicarb and Lido 4%, or Elmiron cap contents in the place of Heparin. I think that is what is in URG 101. I have an appointment in about a month, I'll try to ask then. But the links below seem to indicate that URG 101 is what you're talking about.
If you look up URG 101, it is being tested by Urigen and Dr. Parsons is on the Scientific Advisory board

Hope this answers your questions.

when I read it I thought urg 101 was just stronger concentration of heparin.
He had not invented a new drug for instill that I could find when I read it- correct me if I am wrong. Vicky

Vicky,
My dose was raised from 40,000 U to 50,000 U a few years ago. I didn't necessarily mean that URG 101 HAD 50,000 U. I don't know. I'm pretty sure it is Heparin, Lido and Bicarb - in what concentration? Don't know.

If you print out the information, your doctor may be able to answer your question.
