need advise

Hi, I've been diagnosed with IC since 2006. I've been pretty fortunate to control it with diet,prelief and vesicare. My reproductive endocrinologist wants to do laparoscopy for endometriosis. I called my urologist and asked how this could affect my bladder and she said she didn't know. I can't believe I'm the only person with IC that will have a laparoscopy done. Has anyone had experience with this? I'm terrified it will make my IC worse. Thanks for your help.

I had laparoscopic surgery but it was to remove my gall bladder. It did not effect my bladder at all.

I have had several laporoscopies and they didn't make my bladder worse. I hope this makes you feel better.

I had it done once and it didn't effect my bladder at all. Plus the extra pain meds they gave for after the lap surgery might have helped the bladder stay under control. I have endometriosis also.
