My family likes to take low-cost lunches to the beach and elsewhere, sometimes without a cooler. They end up with peanut butter and jelly and I starve!
I think a year ago I was unable to tolerate any nuts, but since taking hydroxyzine, I have been able to tolerate almonds and cashews. I tried cashew butter with a trace of jelly (can't do too much of that) and it did not cause a flare. I have now used it several times with no affect. :) Maybe this option will work for folks who miss their PB&Js.

Hi!
I wanted to let you know you can also try Sunbutter in place of peanut butter. It's made from sunflower seads and was originally intended for those who are allergic to all nuts.
It's really good and the closest I've tasted to real peanut butter. You can find this in most grocery stores and I know Whole Foods carries it. I thought you might like to try this!

I have never even SEEN cashew butter or almond butter, but we don't have those fancy whole foods stores around me :( Where do you get it? I'd love to try some.
Kara,
I don't know where you live, but around here Kroger's has an organic section. I don't know about the cashew butter (i am allergic to all nuts) but they have the sunbutter there.
I believe Trader Joe's has at least almond butter if you have one in your area =) Good luck!

They sell Sunbutter, almond butter, and cashew butter at most of the grocery stores around me. I'm in NJ, and Foodtown has almond and cashew butter in their organic section and ShopRite has sunbutter with their peanut butter selection. Whole Foods also has sunbutter as well in their peanut section.
If you can't find Sunbutter at your local store, then you can always order online directly from the company. It's www.sunbutter.com. You can order their products online and they also have a store locator that may be helpful.
