Well, I went to the doctor today and they determined that my IC is much worse then theythought. THey thought that with my mild symptoms that the hydrodistension with cystoscopy and dialation would reveal mild hunner's ulcers and such but he said that he had only seen one bladder worse then mine in 20 years. I didn't expect that. We also determined that I have Urethral Syndrom (Chronic) and Pelvic Floor Disfunction. The only treatment I am taking is Detrol LA for now and the IC Diet. He said to follow it strictly for a few weeks then add one thing at a time to see what I shouldn't have.... He told me to consider not working and simply go to RN school instead of doing both at least until I find a treatment that works (well as well as can be expected). I just wanted to share my update and see what remedies you all have found useful!:hi:

I am so sorry that you found out that the IC was worse than you thought...
It seems that instills helps some people when they have bad IC since it directly coats the lining of the bladder....
i am not sure but have you tried elavil??
i find it helps me with nighttime problems...
and if the side effects are too much then pamelor or tofranil are good too...
http://www.drugs.com/elavil.html

some find things like neurontin or lyrica help too

and also some like muscle relaxants such as flexeril or some antianxiety meds too like valium,

I was given Elavil and valium to help me. I am glad that your doctor is supporting the diet and please remember to take it slow and keep a journal especially when adding new foods.
I was never able to use any of the OAB meds, they just paralysed my bladder. I have tried several through the years with the same results. We are all so different when it comes to what works. You didn't mention that pain is one of your symptoms, which I am glad for you.
And you are able to just finish school and not push your body with doing too much (which RN school is certainly not a walk in the park), please take your doctor's advice and know your body's limits. Both my mom (now retired) and my daughter-in law are RNs. My mom had to work through school plus she had my brother and I to take care of. She was and still is a strong willed women! My DIL was fortunate that she was able to get through nursing school without working. She has worked as a nurse for over a year now and about to go into the nurse anesthetist program next year, which she isn't going to work during the time she gets her masters either so that she can dedicate her full attention to school.
Best of everything for you!
Hugs, T
