Elmiron - liver tests & other tests

Hi! What does the liver test entail? Just a blood sample? What other tests does the dr perform to see how the body is responding to Elmiron? I do know she'd mentioned a cystoscopy, but also stated if I was doing "ok" than why "fix something that isn't broken." I still have burning, but not like it was. Definitely do not want the scope! Last time they couldn't get through until I was asleep, and even then, stated it was tighter than tight!!! Thanks for your help. S

I believe it's just a blood test, but maybe someone else can confirm this (I'm not 100% sure).

As for the other tests, I'm not to sure other than a hydro and cysto -- I knew I was feeling better because of my change in symptoms!! :) I would monitor how you're feeling because that's a pretty great indication that it's working. That's great that there is a lessening in burning for you. Elmiron (frustratingly) can work slowly, but for lots of people it's worth it to hang in there!

The only test I have heard mentioned in terms of Elmiron is having your liver enzymes checked periodically. I have it done once a year and, yes, it is a simple blood draw. :)
