Amiltryptaline (Sp?)

I was taking Tofranil (imipramine) from my doctor. Then today, my regular family physician said that that is not good and its a schedule D for getting pregnant. she wrote me a new script for something schedule C. Safer but not perfectly safe. Does anyone take amiltryptaline? Is it safe?

My doctor told me to stop taking it 30 days before TTC, so that's what I did. I'm not taking any substitute for it.

My doctor said I can take it while TTC since I was having so many problems off of it. I take 25mg.
