I use a steroid inhaler for my asthma. Does anyone know if it is possible for the steroid to cause problems with my IC or place to research this? Maybe have an experience to share? I cannot go with it.

this is a very good question. It is most definately a md or pharmacist question. Does the prednisone get absorbed into your bladder when you take your puffs? That your md or pulmonogist would know......... but your uro would be the one to ask the effect of the steroids on the bladder.
Very good question. Maybe the steroid doesn't even make it to the bladder after you take your puff mabye it's inhalation is all locally absorbed in the lungs and bronchioles then I would say no.
Do you know a real good pharmacist you could ask. If I was still working boy I know of one right now at the hosptial and one at Walgreens who left.
Keep up your research here other asthma pt's may have insight for you. Vicy

Steroids usually have healing qualities. For several years I had a steroid instilled directly into my bladder.

Some people say that asthma meds like Singulair help their IC symptoms. These meds are also used to treat inflammation in conditions like lupus, and there are theories that IC is also an autoimmune condition.
