My faces tingles right before I get a migraine. They said it is caused, in my case, by lack of oxygen. Doubt that is your cause through since it has been ongoing.

My only guess would be Shingles, but I am not very sure about that. I hope it goes away and stays gone. (((soft, gentle hugs)))

If it's limited to one side, it might be shingles. Hopefully if it is it's a mild case. You really should get in touch with your doctor soon --- there are things they can do to help.

Ronda, I had tingling on my face when I was on Topomax. I know you have been on it a long time, so that doesn't sound right in your case. I remember being in Target and I kept feeling like something was tickling my face or that my arms and legs (especially my arms) were tingling. It was listed on my med info sheet as a side effect. I had only been on it for a couple of weeks, so my doctor told me to stop taking it immediately especially since I had problems with Neurontin and Lyrica. My skin was also extra sensitive. Like if my hubby gave me "love tap" on my bottom, it felt as if I was stuck with needles. Very strange sensation. My skin has always been sensitive whether it was with rashes or touching.

Well, I see myself hitting my head like the commercial.."Wow I could of had a V8" Moment!!! :bonk:And feel kind of silly now..like duh me..lol :lmao:
BUT about 2 and half months ago I had work done on my upper toothe, I had a cavity filled and it had to be drilled out pretty good.. The dentist said it was bad..Well he did a good job and it healed great.. But this is also the same side and postion that I am feeling the tingling, so I bet he hit a nerve!
BOY my mind runs slow!!:loco: But I am still going to ask about it. But this does make logical since..lol
I guess I stay so worried that something else is going to go wrong with my body, I forget about the simple things that just happen!!

Ronda...You are so correct. I know for me, once having something like IC happen, I tend to think every thing new that happens to my body is something terrible. I think some refer to it is "gun shy".

It sounds like your toothe, but before you mentioned that, I also thought shingles.
If you get a raised rash that looks blistery on the skin of the face, you really need to see a doctor for meds immediately, and also and opthamologist.
I had these a few years back on the forehead very close to my left eye, it was so scary.
Whatever it is, I hope you can get some relief soon. Have you tried sensodyne toothpaste?

Ronda, if your problem is sensitive teeth, there are other brands of toothpaste that are also good --- we use either Crest or Colgate. And you'll want to be careful about mouthwash too. We use ACT on the recommendation of our dentist and it helps with sensitivity issues.

this is what I would recommed as well. Sensitivity toothpast takes awhile to work. ACT also on recommendation of my dentist s well/ I use colgate try hat and see if the tooth settles down . worth a try and it makes sense if you had a deep cavity lots of drilling. vicky

Ronda...I suffered for years with sensitive teeth. About 12 years ago, my dentist suggested that I use Sensodyne. It was the only one of it's kind out at that time. It worked. After a while (I think it took about 6 months of using it continually to get total relief), I was able to eat and drink cold stuff without pain. I still use it for my 1st brush of the day. I also switch to using it every time I brush for a couple of days if I feel any hint of sensitivity. From what I understand about these types of toothpaste, they help build up the enamel that we sufferers seem to lose over the years. My dentist told me I was an overachiever when it came to brushing. I brushed much too aggressively and used a hard toothbrush. Therefore, I wore the enamel off some of my teeth. I had terrible teeth as a child and had to have a lot of fillings done. I think that is the reason I started brushing too hard. I didn't want to have any more fillings.
My dentist also had me come in during that time so he could put some kind of jell on my teeth to help bring the enamel back quicker. I think you can find this type of product OTC now. I seem to remember seeing some ads on TV about it. You use some sort of applicator and put it directly on your teeth.

If you are using a hard or medium tooth brush, switch to a soft one. That helps when you forget to not brush hard. :)
