I never have noticed a problem with xylitol and there is a gum out there (or at least there used to be) that is sweetened only by xylitol...Here is a great baked chicken recipe:
4 chicken thighs or pieces of your choice WITH bone and skin
olive oil
thyme
garlic salt
Place chicken in baking dish. Liberally cover (I do both sides) with olive oil. Generously sprinkle with thyme and garlic salt. Cover and bake at 350 for an hour. Take out. Poke chicken pieces several times with fork to let juices drain out. Let stand 5-10 minutes. Serve over noodles with broth. I also usually add a side of corn and asparagus. This is a recipe from a friend's mother and I always thought she was exagerating about how good it was. The first time I ate it, I ate so much that I made myself sick.
