I was just wondering if any of you have used the Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor?? I used the regular ovulation test strips & got my LH surge, but also got a neg pg test today :( I took it a few days before my period is do, but still...I thought this month may have worked, but I've got a feeling I was wrong :( I'll have them do a test at the doc this week.
Anyway, I was wondering if the actual Fertility Monitor was better?? It costs a lot, that's for sure :bonk: Just wondered if it was better than the test strips??

Alisha,
I used the Clear Blue Easy fertility monitor to get pg this time. It works great. I liked that it was a first am type of thing versus 2 pm in the afternoon, which most of the ovulation predictor kits (OPKs) are. It is expensive, but check out ebay (there is a way to reset them, so you can consider used ones as well). That is where I got mined -- used-- and it still worked great. I think I paid $96 ($103 including shipping) and I got the monitor, a pack of sticks to use with it, and a pregnancy test. It was well worth it in my opinion. Not only did it help me figure out I was having ovulation issues, it would tell me high and peak days of fertility so we could plan sex better. For IC person who flares after each session, having that information is key.
Check out ebay.....when you figure the cost of the OPKs each month versus the cost of the CBE, which you could also sell as soon as you got pregnant.....I went with the CBE. (Actually the month I got pg I was using both....the CBE and some internet cheapy OPKs.)
Hope this helps.

Thanks so much hun :) I will have to wait to find out if I am pregnant, as we have been trying this month. I was getting all negatives this month with the midstream ovulation tests :( But then when I went to my OB on Thursday, he said I was ovulating!! I was having the dull ache on my lower left front side & during an exam he saw signs of ovulation. But now I am going into a flare :( Not sure if it's cause we've been trying for some time this month, or if it's from the vaginal cream that the doc gave me for a tiny bit of bacteria I had. Hope it's not an infection...but it feels like a typical flare.
Anyway...if we don't get pg soon, I'll defo look into that monitor. I did see some that were less money on Ebay!! Hope the twins are well :)

I know it's late in chiming in here but I wanted to share what I am using.
It costs only 17 dollars a month.
It's called Answer (Daily Ovulation Tracker) For Any Cycle Length 20 Test Strips equals a one month supply. I get mine at Wal Mart.
Just trying to save you all some money..........

I thought about getting those for next cycle, if I find out I'm not pg this time round. Last cycle I used the 7 midsteam ones & found my surge on day 13 (only used 4 tests). This cycle I used them again and used 7 tests and got nothing but negatives. Then I go to my OB & he says I am ovulating!! I may try the kit of 20 strips...I have seen them at Walmart as well :)

Oh yeah I forgot to tell you that I do not use the urine stream way. I put mine into the cup and dip them in that way. It works better for me. I've mever missed an ovulation yet and I've been using them for a year.

What time of day do you take your tests??
I was taking the midstream ones at 2pm...sometimes that can be a pain if you're not home or have to hold your bladder till then...and did you take more than one test a day?? :help:
