Hi,
I've received my book today "The IC survival guide" by Moldwin.
I've just read about symptoms caused also from bladder or rectum bumps (cystocoele and rectocoele).
Because I also am often constipated, I have noticed, by self inspection, that I have a sort of bump a few cm inside the rectum. It causes a sort of obstruction, and with straining it increases by volume, causing me to feel the need to open my bowels, while it is the mass itself to press.
It is also quite inconfortable when I press, but there's no evident bleeding.
This has been going on for years, and my previous doctor in Italy said "we'll keep on eye on it" and one of the UK ones instead made me feel ridicolous after the inspection saying I was probably feeling "my own bone" (which believe me it's not the case - I hate when they take me for hypocondriac)
I will for sure talk about that with my doctor, but it would be nice to receive some advice from who of you know better these kind of things and/or have experienced in person. What is it!
Thanks
April
