I have had re occuring UTI for about 9 years, 2 to three times per year.

and about 5 days ago I got burning under the pubic bone/bladder area, and he increased need to pee more often. (When I get UTIs my symptoms are usually smelly pee and back ache, not the burning)

The doc did a test and I didnt have a UTI, just a high level of acid in my urine. Ive also been having a lot of anxiety attacks so she said its a combo of stress and the acid. She gave me macrobid anyway.

My symptoms have been burning in the pubic area, under the bone ish,,,burning down there...a weird irritated feeling and it tend to run into my legs. Have to pee often and whne I do the feeling seems more present.
The burning, pressure are the worst, the pressure feel at pelvic floor..sometimes it feels like my cervix and vagine are involved. Anyone have the particular symptoms ?

The thing thats stressing me out the most is Im waking up in night sweats for the past three days, Im only 32...could this be from the bladder irritation ? Anyone experience this during flares ?? Its seems to be the back of my neck that is sweating..?

Thank you so much for reading and listining...im so afraid that I have a cancer and Im having great anxiety..My MD is on mat leave, my OB dropped me cause I hadnt been to her in 5 years so Im going to a walk in clinic. Trying to figure out what to do next?
Thank you

It sounds like you are in a world of stress right now. Have you seen a urologist? If not, I think that would be a good step for you.

I hope you get some answers soon. It's frustrating to hurt and not know why.

Please make a appointment with a urologist. Try to find one who has experience with Interstitial Cystitis. Even if this is not what is causing your symptoms, a doctor who has knowledge with IC can be very beneficial in determining what is wrong.

I am including a link to a list of health care providers. You might find someone listed that can help you. Just click on it and then look for the area in which you live.

BTW...:welcome: to the ICN... :)

I would suggest eating IC diet foods for a few days to reduce uric acid levels and making an appointment with a urologist asap. I also had night sweats a couple of times when I had to get up a lot to go to the bathroom, and I thought that mine were related to the fact that I was very tired and frustrated then and could not get comfortable in bed, let alone fall asleep.

These anti-spasmodics are very helpful for that burning sensation. Ususally when people get uti's, the doctor may give pyridium to help with the pain. That one turns your urine orange. Urelle or prosed actually seem to work better and they turn your urine blue. I take utira-c which is the generic for urelle. I hope this helps. There is no reason your doctor shouldn't be able to call in a prescription for one of those. Good luck to you.
