Hi
Went into a health food store because I had read that carob was okay for us to eat. Sampled some and got some more to make cookies.

By the time i got home I knew I was in a flare. Took some baking soda and my meds and am beginning to feel better.
I guess I was very mistaken. I know we can't have choc. but carob I thought was safe. Not for me, and never again.
Has anyone else had that experience and what is in carob that hurts our bladders. I do try to follow my diet and really thought this was alright to have. What a mistake!!!
Maybe someone else is okay with carob, don't want to turn off someone that can tolerate it.
Have a good day and you all are in my thoughts.

This may be another example of different things effecting people differently. Is there anything else that you did differently today or yesterday? Check the package and make sure there isn't another ingredient that may cause you problems.

I am glad you are feeling better. :)

I agree that you will want to check the ingredients listed on the package.

Hi Kadi,

Thanks, never thought of fruit juice, am going back to store and ask owner just what is in the carob they sell.
It sure tasted good, but it was so not worth it.
