What time of day do you take elmiron

I have been taking elmiron for about 9 months and have the hardest time trying to get it taken three times a day.

It seems that if I waite to late at night I am up in the bathroom to many times at night.

I would just like some input from all the pros out there.

I have also noticed that when I take it first thing in the morning, by the time I have waited an hour to eat my bladder is kinda hurting

I only took it for a few months before I had some side effects, but when I did take it I did two hours after meals. That wouldn't work for me now though because I have developed diabetes (it's a genetic thing in my family) and have to eat every two to three hours.

Hi! I'm new to Elmiron and found that the best strategy for me is to take the last pill about 30 minutes before bed. I find that 30 min. is enough for the water to go through. I try to view any urges that arise after that as psychological and ignore them while trying to fall asleep. This helped me significantly. I still get up about 1 hour after I go to bed, but after that I've been able to sleep through the night.

I take Elmiron 3 x's a day for the past 4 years and so far so good. I take one in the monring about 6:30 am another after I eat around 1pm and the last one about 30 minutes before bed, with water of course. I also find that the 30 minutes allows the fluid to go thru my system and I can get to bed with a nice empty bladder.

I used to take it at 6am; 2pm; 10pm.

Because I eat frequent meals, my dr said it would be okay to take 2 upon rising, eat an hour after that. And I take my third right before bed.
