Antihistamines or claritan24

does anything think that takin an antihistamine a day helps with IC pain? my real problem is the urgency and freaquency, not really outright pain.. i have been taking a claritan 24 once a day for all of this week and i cant really tell if its helping or not..

I read in one of the guest lectures that hydroxyzine (Vistaril/Atarax) seems to help the most, but I do know that people have posted that other antihistamines seem to help them. The Vistaril does help me. :)

Hi, I take Clarinex for allergies, and it doesn't really make a difference in how my bladder feels. My uro has suggested trying Atarax instead, but I don't have a prescription for that yet.

I have been on claritin for years and never noticed a diffrence. I'm on hydroxazine noe and I only get up 3 times a night now huge help!!! Claritin also can take up to 3 weeks to start working, same like anti-depressants
