I'm in a retention flare

I hate these retention episodes more than anything. It means that I will probably end up with another UTI and the vicious circle wil just start all over again. My body doesn't have a middle. It's either peeing every 1/2 hour or NOT PEEING AT ALL and I'm sooo sick of it:mad: :mad:

How many times does an ICer get to pray to God to "LET ME PEE"

Let me tell you, the few times I have had retention problems bad, that is exactly what I do. I have had some times when trying medications that I would have a little retention, but the times I have been in the hospital and my bladder just will not empty, I PRAY.

You might alternate prayers between "Let me pee" and "Help me pee"

I'm so sorry you're in retention mode again. I know you're under a tremendous amount of stress right now.

I know exactly what you are going through, I had the same thing happen to me this week, it is so frustrating. It is also scary, so please keep praying and if it continues I would go to the ER. I will keep you in my prayers. Hugs!

Teri and gals,

I've been having great difficulty peeing this week and then today I realized I'm constipated. I have to sit for a loooooong time and then just a little comes out and I'm so bloated and in pain. So today I called my uro and he said go to er over weekend if I can't stand it. Also, he wants to see me next week and do ultrasound to see if I'm really retaining. I'm trying so hard not to push.
