I have been "empathetically" diagnosed with IC. Having symptoms for a year. Started Elmiron in May. Been doing better overall but the past two days...while walking or going from sitting to standing and visa versa....I have been getting these INTENSE SHARP STABBING PAINS inbetween my legs and right at the tip of the pelvic bone. I had a few "stabs" here and there over the course of the year that lasted a second or so but and never really knew what it was or what was causing it and because it ended as quickly as it started I paid no big mind to it. But now...it will start and then it gets worse and worse til it makes me stop in my tracks. It will seem to go away and then come back again. Once it kicks it...I feel very "sore" down there. It almost feels like I muscle pull afterwards. Position changes when I sit makes it hurt. Is this an IC thing? Or is it PFD? I went fof PT for a two months a few months back because they thought I had MILD PFD. But I never had pain like this before. I don't know what to contribute it to. Of course I will call my doctor but any input? Anyone ever feel this? If so...what causes it? And what helps it? I had an internal exam done on Friday but outside of that I haven't done anything out of the ordinary of late.

Yes, I've had pains like that from time to time and it is usually following a period of severe urgency. I think sometimes they are bladder/urethra spasms.

I also have experienced this type of pain in the rectum due to an anal fissure. To me, it just has a little bit different pain location, but generally will stop me in my tracks.
