Hey,

I am from maine, is there anyone else in maine. I need a better doctor. I want a good one lol. I have had seen one gyn and two urologists thus far, that know less than I do about IC. I live close to bangor, but I am willing to go all the way to boston, to find a good one. I can take the bus, and not have to worry about bathroom trips because there is one on there. I want some real answers and some real treatments options. Has anyone had any luck with Urologists, or anyone specializing in IC in maine. The doctor I went to was recomended :(, he was lousy. Anyone from portland maine, that area is way more developed, and could have better doctors.

I feel like I have gotten very little treatment, and wasn't given options except for get married and pop out kids. The doctors I have see are just a bunch of old farts, with a very sexest veiw. They treat other old men who can't pee. I never seen one woman except for the paitents wives being treated in any of the offices I've been in. besides the fact everyone is about 50-60 years older than I am. Ahhh.. that can't be a good sign.

Hi, there are doctors listed on this website also, here is the link. Some are therapists and some are doctors, not sure what ones are close to you, but it tells you about that they specialize in. Good luck.

i would take a look at the list of Drs... they are referred by ic patients who have had good experience with them. it is still early you may still get info from others. don't give up yet! good luck!

Hi,

I would suggest that you also post the question in the USA threads that cover the New England area. Someone might respond to your post in either threads. Wish I could help you, I'm in Mass and I know how hard it is to find a good doctor. Good luck!
