I would like to ask if anyone notices their ic pain is worse mid month and if you have cysts is the pain worse?

I have two cysts recently diagnoses on my two left ovaries, measuring 2 cm (both of them).

My first pain of IC was just a little over a month ago, I was mid month in my cycle (ovulation) and I had pain that lasted off and on for 8 days. It was awful. (at the time I did not know I had two cysts)

After an u/s it showed the cysts. I have to wonder do cysts and IC work together to cause WORSE pain. I mean cysts are all hormonal and function and live of our womenly hormones....so does IC, so one would think that they work together to cause discomfort.

My pain was in my lower abdomen/vagina area, lower back, into my left leg, felt as though i was giving birth to my inner organs.....burning sensation on the outside of my vagina lips, very intense waves of pain....

Does anyone know of any written information to support this? or do any of you have personal experiences with cysts and ic?

I would love to hear about it, as I am wondering if I should also have my cysts removed.

Thanks,

girl

I have a cyst on my left ovary. Ovulating is pure agony; I always had pain with it, now it's so bad I want to throw up. It does seem to irritate my IC also, but anything hormonal does that. I just always chalked it up to the hormones.

As my cyst is not just a simple cyst, I did speak with my GYN about removing it. He left it up to me, but preferred that I did not, as I have already had my right one removed and this would mean instant menopause. While I am already perimonopausal, he said he didn't know what throwing me into it so suddenly would do to the IC. So I have decided to put up with mine unless it drastically worsens.

I hope yours resolves and good luck!
