Well, today Iīm better and I can be sit for a while and tell eveybody my story

I had the injections last wednesday (March, 10), this time my dr put 150 units, and the injections were in the trigon (50 units), in the urethra (50 units), inside my vagina (25 units) and arround in the vulva (25 units)

I had too a urethral dilation, a cystoscopy and a hydrodistention

I was in the surgery room for 2 hours and 2 in the recovery room. When I woke up I had a little pain and a few spasms, that means I was fine. I spent 1 night at the hospital, and when I went to my home I had the catheter yet. I removed it 1 day later

I began with alot of pain and spasms since friday, Oh my God!!!, I think that this was the most painfully time. I couldnīt sit, or walk, and the pain in my vulva and bladder were terrible

I had to be in my bed for 4 days, and I was able to go to my office yesterday

I was very depressed, all the time I cryed, in fact, yesterday I had to go with my therapist

Since today Iīm better, and my level pain may be is 3

The good news is that my dr saw better my bladder since last hydro (nov, 2003). Last time I holded only 350 cc in my bladder, and now 460 cc. He said that I donīt have many blood in the bladder wall, and I only have inflamated the trigon

The only treatments that I have is CYSTA-Q (dialy) and Botox every 4 months, so which of this is helping my bladder, cysta-q??, botox?? or both

Bye!!

Hi Flore,

Hope you are feeling a lot better. Having the Botox treatment sounds like it was an awful experience. I hope you are continuing to get relief from the pain.

I am from New Zealand and I am trying to get hold of some Oxytrol patches. They are only available in the U.S. at the moment and a prescription is required. I have contacted lots of online pharmacies on the Internet but none of them stock them.

I was wondering if you could find out if any pharmacies in Mexico have the Oxytrol patch or can get them in? I would be very grateful for your help. I haven't had a reply from the Mexican pharmacies that I have contacted.

Thank you and I hope you continue to feel better.

Regards
Julie

Hi Julie!!

I was looking for this patches in Mexico, but I think that we donīt have. We only have the oxybutinine (Tavor in Mexico) Ditropan in other countries

If I know another thing else, Iīll let you know

OUCH??? That sounds painful, and you must be VERY VERY brave!!
I can't imagine going through that. How long does it take to actually work after those injection..(ouchy, makes me nervous to envision it)...Did it make you incontinent afterwards(sp)??
I use the Fentanyl patches every 3 days and my life is SO much better now..This is all I use now (had previously tried everything out there) and I'm doing very well, no more break through pain., no more weight gain..( a biggy). no more ups and downs from pain meds wearing off..Just change the patch every 3 days and yippy..no pain, no side affects..no more constipation either. I hope you feel better soon. would love to hear more about these injections,..does insurance pay for it? Is it costly?, and side affects..I'd love to not need these expensive patches forever..questions questions.. etc..can you PM me please? :( :(

Some insurances pay for the botox and some do not. The coding is the key.

I had major problems with retention afterwards, and the retention lasted for 7 months. Obviously, my system does weird things.

Iīm very well now, in fact, I was in alot of pain for 1 week, but after this I traveled to Vienna to the EUA, so I was good very well soon

I think the pain that I had after the injectios was because of the hydro and the urethral dilation. The dr told me that my sphincter was very closed

My insurance allways pay Botox, I donīt have problems with this. The problem is that in México, only 2 dres are able to put the injections, so the Insurance doesnīt know how many they must pay to the dr for this procedure, this means that my dr is whom have the problem with my insurance

Thanks for all your words!!
