Well after another long week of tests everyday.....they want a spinal tap tomorrow but I don't know if I really want to do it. The dr is a bit worried to do it because of the brain tumor.....they don't know if it is safe for sure.
Any thoughts are always appreciated.
Take care everyone!!!

I don't know anything about what is safe particularly in your situation, but what I can offer is my prayers.

I'll be thinking about ya.

The first thought that came to me was...If the doctor is unsure about the safety of this procedure and if you are concerned about it, also...It might be a good idea to at least wait to have this done for a day or two until all of the concerns can be addressed.

Follow your gut here. The saying goes "Measure twice...Cut once". I know that is for carpenters, but I think it pertains to your safety, also.

I am praying for wisdom for you and your doctors. Also sending prayers for your safety and healing. (((Hugs)))

Is he wanting to do the tap because he is concerned about the tumor --- or is he concerned about the tap because of the tumor? I do think it's a good idea to talk this over with your doctor.

Sending gentle hugs,
Donna

I have to agree with both Donna and Sharon on this. You should discuss this more with your doctor, especially is he is unsure. Also, remember, you are the one who is going to have to go through this so you have to go with what your gut is telling you. Remember, no one knows your own body better than you.
