When doing some research about IC I stumbled upon this Website and it looks very interesting to me.The long and short of it is this company can test my blood and let me know which foods or preservatives give me a delayed allergy reaction and thus hurt my bladder. So instead of the trial and error of the diet,I could avoid altogether the foods that cause me problems.
I am thinking about doing this.

You do not have to send a blood sample off to an unknown lab. You can get this testing done by your doctor or by your doctor referring you to an allergy specialist.
The IC Diet is used to discover what foods/drinks irritate your bladder mostly because of acid. You do not have to be allergic to any of these foods for them to be IC triggers. I am not allergic to oranges, but they still are my worst diet trigger.

Sharons right - process of elimination is the only way I've discovered what aggrevates my bladder. I've never heard of such a thing - a blood test that can "tell you what aggrevates your bladder."
If it were me - I'd go see a real doctor - an allergist - and have an allergy test done to confirm all allergies known. To my knowledge, that has to be done via a skin test. There are certain blood allergy tests they do but they are very very expensive (like to see if how allergic to bee's you are- they do this via blood test and search for antibodies, and its VERY expensive, there is no "skin test" for a bee sting if you are already allergic to them). My son was allergic when he was a baby, hasnt been stung in 8 years and although we carry an EpiPen, we just dont know if he's still allergic or not. This test has to be done but its very expensive to do it and insurance doesnt cover it. They cannot "sting" him because if he IS still allergic and didnt outgrow it - then we can send him into anaphylactic shock. Big mess....
I'd never pay a website any money to have a lab performed when I have a perfectly capable doctor. If its legit - my doctor would know about it.
