So Depressing!

I was flipping thru channels tonight and noticed that all the actors and actress on there look so YOUNG! :( Wow! When did I get so old! It seems like all the leads in the movies now are in their 20's! I wish they had more variety of actors and actresses on there. Am I the only one that feels this way?

A lot of people have said that's a great thing about the movie Mamma Mia -- most of the lead actors/actresses are older and look great. I haven't seen it yet, but hopefully it's a new trend :-)

I think it goes though phases. Some of my favorate movies are with older women like Steel Magnolias and First Wives Club and any movie with Julia Roberts in it. The Bucket List has just been added to my list of favorite movies as well. But so is 13 going on 30. I just love Jennifer Garner.

I saw Mamma Mia for the 3rd time over the weekend. We went with a couple that we have known for years and they NEVER go to the movies or even watch movies for the most part. We were lucky we were able to get him away from TV Land! I am very serious! I believe he said the last movie he saw at the movie theater was Flash Dance! We talked him into seeing Mamma Mia because he is Greek. It didn't even occur to me that he didn't know a thing about it the movie. During the first scene he leaned over and said that he thought it was about ABBA. He never dreamed it was filmed in Greece. Of course his wife loved it, but he wanted us to promise we would say he saw Batman. I told him that our entire Sunday School class knows that his favorite movie when he was growing up was Flash Dance, so I doubt they would think he was any less of a man seeing Mamma Mia!
