Hi , I'm wondering how everyone elses recouperation time went?? I am having ups and downs. Is that normal ? I guess I thought once I started feeling better, it would keep going that way. I have an appt. tomorrow with my GYN to check for any infections. I'd appreciate any help:) Thanks, Grace

It's hard to know. Some of us heal pretty quickly after a hydro; others can take up to two months.
I hope you feel better soon.
Warm healing thoughts,

I was one who took a long time to heal. But, I also had a couple of tears from the Hydro. Hopefully, they are treating your pain. Like Donna says, it could take up to 2 months. Hope you feel better soon. :)

I just had my second Feb 19, 2004 and I thought I was going to die. My urologist would not give me anything for the pain and it felt like I was trying to pee needles! This lasted for two weeks after.
My Urologist (The Main Specialist) told me after doing the surgery that I had IC and he could do NOTHING for me I would just have to deal with it!!!
I only have insurance through this government funded hospital now, so I have to go through them. But I am trying to get on Medicaid so I can go to someone who knows what I am dealing with. They said it is rare that someone 24 would have IC!!

What?!!
Go to your hospital or medical plan's directory & ask if there is a "Patient Advocate" or "Ombudsman" office. Maybe you can print out the homepage of this website &/or the patient handbook or go to the ICA website to get more information to help you appeal- for referral to another doctor or site. If nothing else, "for a second opinion"- then use the treatment options available to negotiate more care...
It stinks that you're having to deal with that nonsense in addition to a really difficult health problem! Best of luck to you - don't give up.
