Just wanted to share my success and give others hope. This time last year, I was in the bathroom to pee some 60 times during the day and 10-20 times per night. Things improved greatly over the past several months so I haven;t been posting much. My kids were stuck home doing nothing last summer so we are making up for lost time. Well, this past week we went away for 3 days. I managed to do the nearly 3 hour drive to Lancaster (we got lost!) without a single bathroom stop. No pain, no urgency. Nothing. Even better......we went to Hershey Park and I only had to make 3 potty stops in the 10+ hours we were there, in the rain! I have weaned off of Elmiron and am still doing great. Lyrica and hydroxizine are my current meds and they seem to be doing the job well together. I'd have to say that things are as good as they can get. Last summer I had no hope and now I am so optimistic. There is hope!!! Keep your chin up and look forward to better days. They will come, eventually. I was even able to drink orange juice!!

I still usually get up once a night to go but it is totally manageable. I can walk the path with my eyes closed and I fall right back to sleep

I believe it's from the Dicyclomine.

It's actually for IBS, but helps with spasms. I've had NOT PAIN for about 1 week (since starting). I am drinking hot tea as we speak!

I am on:

2 x Elmiron a day
25 mg Atarax
2 Dicyclomine a day (one in morning and one in afteroon)
Ambien or restoril nightly (not for IC)
Soma when needed.
