Ok, I know that everyone is different in what we can eat, etc. But does ANYONE know what we CAN have to HELP our IC flares?

I've been great since July of last year, and all of the sudden this past week I'm having trouble voiding again, and don't understand why?

Can anyone let me know what I can do to make myself get better SOON? I can't miss any more work, but I definitely can't go in feeling like this either. Any types of food that will help this? Any medications to help void better? OH please send advice, I can't stand this!

Any feedback will be so greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Have you talked to your Dr. about the problems you are having now? This sounds like a new problem and needs to be checked out. He could also help you with medications or whatever else you might need to get past this.

Yeah, I have talked and talked about this, and all they can ever say is "hmmm, that is a new one".....Never heard of that before.

SO, I guess I'm stuck. I don't know how I could be going along for so many months so wonderful, only to get like this again, it's awful.

One urologist I had seen before said that we can feel wonderful for a long time, then POOF, we get a flare and he doesn't understand either. Why don't they know why? It seems to me they should be able to look at our bodies during such flares and then determine what is going on at that moment, don't you?

It's so frustrating.

Well, thank you for your response. I guess it's back to the drawing board again.

Take care,

Pnut

They still should be able to give you something to help if you can't void. If this Dr. isn't willing to help somehow, maybe you need to find someone that can. Because when you can't go, you can't go. Somehow or another they have to do something. Foods and drinks help so that you don't have flares, but I don't know what you eat or drink to help with a flare. Drinking plenty of water helps with things, but if you are having trouble voiding, then you may be really miserable. I still say talking to the Dr. or finding another one to help is the answer here. Maybe someone else has another idea.

Thanks Jolene,

You are very sweet. I sure I hope I can get some help today, I don't think my employer is too happy that I'm not there, but what could I do?

Gosh, I just wish I could wish this awful thing away for all of us. :)

Thanks for your thoughts, that meant a lot. :)

I'll see what I can do, I'm trying to call my uro now, but I bet I don't get in today:(

Thanks for thinking of me again, you are sweet.

I have to agree that a visit to your doctor is warranted. And if your current doctor isn't willing to work with you to find a solution, it might be time to seek a second opinion.

Warm encouraging hugs,
Donna
