Nintendo wii??

Has anyone played nintendo wii? My dad has one. I was never into video games, and yesterday we went to my dads and he has one and we played the bowling. This game is so physical. lol It was SO much fun. My dad bowled one game, and did really well. Then me and Eric did the boxing game. You actually take the controlers and box. By the time we got done, I could not lift my arms. :biglaugh: My mom said she wished she had a video camera so she could of taped what we looked like boxing. That is a great game for a workout. It was so much fun. I never played a game like that. Whoever invented that it was such a great idea, because you actually have to be physical to play and thats fun and also good for you. lol

We have one --- bowling almost totally killed off my shoulders --- so we did golf --- I couldn't move for several days. It's a great game for exercising.

Lisa, I know EXACTLY what your talking about. I used to be into video games like nintendo back in the day... My bf's neighbors just bought a wii and they invited us over one night to play. Let me tell you, I havent had that much fun in idk how long. We played the bowling first and had a blast... then the boxing hahahhaa omg i couldnt move my arms or back for the next 2 days afterwards. You really have to punch and beat the crap outa the other person! it's very physical, but so much fun! My little sister actually recorded me and my bf boxing on her cell phone... its histerical.
what a great way to get people off their butts and get into shape... an hr of boxing a day and u'd be in the best shape of ur life! hahaha

Rachel, I loved the boxing. :) I agree, I had SO much fun!!!!!!!! Donna, I hear they are coming out with mini golf to. :) I bet that will be fun. After 3 games of bowling and 1 of boxing, my shoulders were hurting pretty bad to. lol Now today I am just sore all over.

That's funny that you bring this up. My 84 year old dad was at another couples house for dinner Sat night (with my mom) and they were bowling. He enjoyed it so much we went out yesterday and bought one. My nephew just came over and set it up for us. I haven't played it yet but have in the past and it was so much fun. I have been wanting to get one but never did.

Hey Lis , My oldest daughter is addicted to wii , her and Larry are currently addicted to guitar hero . But we were playing baseball the other day and thats a ton of fun too !! Its def worth the money to buy one , they have so many cool things you can d w it !!

I have heard so many good things about it that I want to try it!! I don't like video games but if it helps get you into shape why not!!

I don't like video games either, but this is so different, I think the physical part of it is what makes it so much fun. I am still sore, tells you how out of shape I am. :)

the game they had, there was golf (which i am amazing at! hehhe) boxing, bowling, baseball and tennis... they also had this athleticism test where you have to do a few of each sport and it tells you your age according to how well you scored. Ok so my normal age is 22... the game told me i was 78 LMAO!!!!! I was terrible ahhahhaa but so much fun!

lol I didn't see the athletic test. That would have been fun, haha We made characters of my parents, so now when they play, they have characters made with there names and they look like them. You can design them the way they look. They had so many styles, hair color, eye color, clothes color. It was hilarious!! My dad got such a kick out of it. They have there own personal animated character that looks like them. I didn't even know you could do that, but a med student that took a liking to my dad, they invited her over for dinner and she knew how to do that so we all did it together. I haven't had that much fun in so long. I keep telling Eric we need to buy one! My son does the boxing, and one punch and he has you down. haha I can't play him at all in that game. I think the mini golf is going to be fun. I can't wait to get one. :smile tee

hahah that was the best part, desiging you character. OMG DID WE HAVE A BLAST... we were rolling on the floor trying to make them look like us and some of the choices are silly... like the noses. cracked us up....
my bf's neighbors got the wii from costco for like 400 or something likethat came with everythingtoo!!!

haha that is to funny. :biglaugh: The noses cracked me up to. My dad is bald and his character came out so much like him. lol I am still sore from playing that. It shows you how out of shape I am, not to mention I steamed cleaned my carpets yesterday. I need to get in shape because I am so sore. I am going to have to look at cosco next time I go. I can't believe how I never liked video games but how much I love that one. :smile tee

If you like the boxing and bowling, the Wii Fit is great. You can do Yoga and exercise with it. We love it.

We have one and love bowling! My favorite game is Mario Kart! I'm learning how to play it thanks to my kids...they are so much better at it than I am, but I'm not doing so bad. The Wii now has an exercise mat that I am getting at Christmas for this household. We need the physical exertion so BAD. I feel like a kid again playing it. We also have an X Box 360 that Tom mostly plays. We're a bunch of electronic fools here. :)

Yes the exercise mat is called Wii Fit. It is great, I love the yoga. It is so relaxing and really helps
