Can't void

I am so miserable! :( I haven't been able to void for the past 7 hours, I am SO uncomfortable. I called my Urologist and he can't see me for 6 1/2 hours, ugh! I have been drinking water and I can feel it in me needing to get out. Help!

Omigosh! That's too many more hours to have to wait.

Have you tried things like sitting in a tub of warm water to help relax those muscles? Sometimes that works for me. Also, I would stop drinking anything until you get that bladder emptied. If it gets too painful, I would call the uro back --- or you might consider a trip to ER. I've been there and it can get extremely painful.

I learned to catheterize myself years ago and it's definitely been a life saver for me several times.

I've been in the same situation -- I think a warm bath might be a good idea (no girly smelly stuff like bubble bath though!) Keep up the water, and don't push the urine out -- could do a lot of damage down there.

Oh thank goodness, I was finally able to go to the bathroom! I couldn't try the tub, because I am at work. I canceled my appt with my Dr, but will go to the ER if I have problems again. Thanks to everyone!

Hillary glad your feeling better ! I had that happen to me two weeks ago I had to go to the ER ! Hope your feeling better for the rest of day !:grouphug:

Isn't that terrible when that happens. I don't ususally have that problem except when I am in the hospital for something. I just hate it. Don't ever forget the ER like the others have said when that happens and your Dr. can't help. Glad you were able to go.
