Acupunture?

Has anyone here ever tried Acupunture? I'm thinking about starting it but I want some advice. I tried Chinese Herbs a long time ago for Allergies and the herbs were the worst thing I ever tasted in my life. So I'm skeptical but willing to give it a shot. Right now I'm on Elmiron and Aloe Vera, which is helping somewhat but I'm not back to what I consider a functional level yet.
Any advice you can give me is very appreciative!

I have had good luck with Traditional Chinese Medicine but the practitioner has to be the best.

If you could get to Chicago, I would recommend mine who is, also, an MD.

I just wanted to share with you that I have also just started seeing an acupunturist...and im already impressed and have noticed a difference..this is truly my last hope and although my insurance will not cover a dime..i am still going through with it...there may be a light at the end of the tunnel!

I tried it for four months but in the end, really had no difference. I tried lots of the chinese supplements and again, no change in symptoms. But we're all different in how we react, so who knows, maybe it will help you. I suffer mostly from urethral pain, and sometimes burning bladder sensation. I found taking a supplement called cantharis has really helped tremendously. I ran out the other day, and my burning came back big time. I found a place that sells is much cheaper on line and can't wait for it to get here. Counting the days! Good luck to you.

Thanks, I think I'm going to try it, I live in Pennsylvania, so Chicago won't help me. I'm willing to give it a shot and see if it helps. I have a name of someone that was referred to me.

I did it for the fibro, because I had my IC under control. I really liked it. After the treatment I flet worse but the next couple days were great. My insurance did not cover it and it got too expensive. I would have loved to try it for longer..
