CystaQ Helps Patient Stay Working - Farr Labs now offering a free bottle of product!

CystaQFor patients who are interested in going the "natural route" in treating their symptoms, your goal should be to look for a product that has research that proves that their product can help reduce your bladder symptoms. Farr Laboratories, the makers of CystaQ, ProstaQ, and Qurol was the first supplement company to answer this call. Unlike other "mass market" supplement companies, they put their money where their mouth was by sponsoring two different studies (at UCLA and the Cleveland Clinic) to determine if their product line could work. The answer was a resounding yes. Not only that, they also found that their products helped to reduce the symptoms of vulvodynia. Patients agree.

Mark A from Poughkeepsie offered "I really noticed the extent to which IC was ruining my life when my boss asked me to resign from my job of 4 years. I had been spending more time in the restroom than in my office, and I was missing important meetings because I was too embarrassed to attend, then have to run out every 20 minutes. I was constantly inventing excuses to leave during the day for countless doctor appointments and my boss and my staff were fed up. Although I had been on medications that helped control the pain, CystaQ was the first product I tried that actually helped with both the pain and the frequency of urination. After several weeks, my job performance improved (I had been trying to hang on to my position) because I could go for over an hour without running to the restroom. CystaQ has truly given me my life back and I’m grateful every day."

A.M. said "After suffering from Interstitial Cystitis for half my life, I’ve tried dozens of medications. I was becoming hopeless and was contemplating surgery, even though the thought of a difficult recovery period and huge hospital bill terrified me, especially since it wasn’t guaranteed that my urethral pain and urgency would go away. “Then my doctor heard about CystaQ and recommended it to me. Desperate, I tried it because it was pretty much the only thing I hadn’t tried yet. To my amazement, it has worked very well. Although I am not one-hundred percent better, my pain and frequency have diminished to where most days I feel like I am a normal person. I am so thankful I tried CystaQ before going through the long ordeal of bladder surgery!

E. S. said "I have been suffering from vulvodynia as well as IC for 6 years. CystaQ is the first product I’ve tried that has allowed me to have virtually pain-free sex with my husband. It’s helped our marriage immensely and I can’t think the makers of CystaQ enough!"

One of the key researchers, Dan Shoskes MD (Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland OH) reviewed the research data for quercetin, the key ingredient found in CystaQ and ProstaQ, in his new book Chronic Prostatitis/Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome (Humana Press, 2008). "In a preliminary small open-label study, 500mgs of quercetin administered twice daily gave significant symptomatic improvement to most patients. This was followed by a prospective, doubled blind placebo controlled trial of 500mgs of quercetin administered twice daily for four weeks. " He confirmed that "20% of patients taking the placebo and 67% of the patients taking quercetin had an improvement of symptoms." He continued "A third group of patients received ProstaQ, 82% of whom showed a significant improvement of symptoms." ProstaQ and CystaQ use the same active ingredients of quercetin with bromelain and papain.

If you are considering trying a supplement, Farr Labs is offering a one time free bottle of product (60 capsules) of CystaQ. You'll just pay for shipping and handling of $5.95.

Thank you, Jill, for letting us know about the free trial bottle of Cysta-Q. I'm always afraid of trying unknown over the counter items but I think I am ready to try this. I went to the web site that you listed and ordered my free bottle.

I'm going to keep positive that Cysta-Q is going to help me. I'm more than happy to just have to pay the shipping on this.

Thanks, again, Jill.

Jill,

One of the greatest services you offer at ICN is the amount of valuable information you share. I especially appreciate you posting journal articles that will keep all of us informed.

That's a really great thing Farr is doing. Thanks for letting us know.

I'm 2 days into Dextroamphetamine sulfate and it is already reducing my pain from 7-8 down to 1-2. I slept 9 1/2 hours of uninterrupted deeply refreshing sleep.

But, the free offer was too good to pass up:smile tee Excellent quality supplements are always a good adjunctive therapy for those of us with IC and many other co-existing diseases.

Thank you Jill and Farr !

I was really excited when I read the post on this a couple of months ago. I finally got around to reading all the info and ordered my free bottle. I actually had to call them because the site was not allowing me to order it free. I am shocked at the number of people who think that natural automatically means Safe! Oleander is natural but it will kill you if you digest it! I am trying this solely because these guys did the research! That really impresses me! Thanks for the info Jill!:smile tee

Quercitin is a great element, it works for IC, I'm not sure how it'll work for vulvodynia though, maybe it helps with inflamation.

Natural products AND "man made" (or pharmaceutic, man prepared) products have both side effects and iteractions.

It is good to go the natural route but with caution, get a reliable brand, buy them at a reliable place, there are soo many websites out ther, how do you know they are being stored appropritely, etc...it could get scary.

Keep in mind naturl products are not FDA approved, not controled, if there's something wong with the product they may/or may not recall it.....so be as selective as you can.

The good thing with prescribed meds is that if there's something wrong they'll re-call the medication and you know what the side effects and iteractions are.

I take natural products as well as precriptions (prescription ingredients have come from nature at some point, if you think about it).
The key is be selective, and well informed. With natural products add them one at a time, monitor how you react to them....

Having said all of the above, CystaQ is worth trying. I feel confortable with the source and has helped my IC symptoms when I stopped Elmiron, it was an alternative and I'm thankful for that :)

My uro has given me a free sample in the past. I have also tried to get it from their website but was not able. I'll try again.

I was actually having some mild pain and discomfort yesterday and it went away after I took the Cysto-Q. I have not had pain are that constant burning/pinching feeling today at all. I am very hopeful about this supplement. I am still taking my Elmiron, Elavil, Prosed, Antihistimine but if I keep feeling this well I am going to try and stop the others starting with the Elmiron and see what happens. I hate taking the Elimiron. I bruise with the slightest bump. My iron count is low. I really believe between the Elmiron and the Prosed my eye sight has been effected. I will post back weekly with my results. So far so good!:smile tee

Sorry you had a flare.
What kind of flare did you have with cysta Q? IC or vulvodynia? just curious....
also did you take it alone or with food, it is supposed to be taken wih food.
Cysta Q has many ingredients but the main one is Quercitin, perhaps you could try purchasing only quercitin (it is sold as a separae lelemnt as well).

I beleive Quercitin has antihistamine properties and therefore antinflamatory.

Hi ladies I got my free sample when I read July's news letter & it said they were offering this sample. It did cost me about £12 to get it shipped to England but was still cheaper than having to pay for the product as well! I haven't actually tried it yet! I'm on Amitriptyline, Lyrinel & pain meds - are you all continue to take your meds whilst trying this product? Bit unsure what to do! I know you can take Elmeron with other meds so am thinking it should be fine??? My meds are controlling my frequency & have helped a little with the pain. My worst symptoms are with the vulvodynia so it would be great if i could get this more under control! Any thoughts here????? Could really do with some advice!
Thanks for reading,
big hugs

i had an IC flare. yes, i did take it w/ food. thanks i will try just the Quercitin, where can i purchase that? thanks for the info :)

I'm on Cysta Q for over a year but I saw Quercitin only as supplement, many times, at wholefoods. I'm sure they have it at other health food stores too.
I hope it works for you! Cystoprotek is anotehr option....but a little rough on the tummy.

Becky, have you consider a muscle relaxer? Like valium? relaxing those muscles is very important to those witth IC and vulvodynia as well as daily cold packs for the vulva and hotpacks/warm for the belly ( I do it at night) or whenever I had a chance. You list a medication that I don' recognize so I don't know if you are already on a muscle relaxer. If not, ask for it.

Hi Tinkerbell (love the name)!
Amitriptyline is an anti-depressant, you may know it as Elavil (spelt wrong) & Lyrinel is an anti-spasmodic probably know as something else to you as well? Yes, I take a muscle relaxant called Diazepam (probably another strange name to you hee hee)! My doctors not keen on giving me these though as they can become addictive - not sure that matters when our conditions are chronic ay :loco: I use heat packs whenever I'm out & about. If I'm at home I tend to be permanently sat on a hot water bottle hee hee! Does help though. I use a cold pack if I'm having a vulvodynia flare, especially if I'm having cliterous pain which is just awful :(........... I have a constant burning sensation of the vulva so when I read that Cysta Q may help with vulvodynia I thought it might be a good option. I have some ready to try but not sure about taking it with all my others meds so haven't dare start it yet. Think I'm gonna take the "bull by the horns" so to speak & give it ago!
Big healing hugs & thanks for reading

so good, you are Diazepan, which is the actual name of the drug (Valium). That's a good muscle relaxer and anxiety medication, some use it as suppositories (compounded) to relax the pelvic floor muscles.

I hope Cysta Q works for you
