Activella?

I'm in a quandary, and the more I read the more confused I become. I am successful in treating my IC through diet and prelief. I feel very lucky in that regard. However, I have started to go through menopause, and when I had a bone scan six months ago it showed that I have osteopenia. I have had problems in the past with elevated prolactin which can depress estrogen, so I'm pretty sure that's what has caused it. Plus my vitamin D was low. The doctor put me on Vitamin D and now that's back to normal. He prescribed activella but I can't decide whether or not to take it. I have read the progestin normally aggravates IC, but there are problems with taking estrogen alone. The main thing I am worried about is my bone density. I do have hot flashes, but nothing I can't stand. Have any of you taken activella without problems? Do some of you take unopposed estrogen instead?

I wish I had a doctor I trusted enough to discuss this with, but do not have confidence in any of my doctor's knowledge on this subject.
