I was wondering if anyone else sweats lots when flaring. When my bladder is unhappy I sweat lots, not just because it's hot and it's summer, I did this all winter too. It is not like hormons hot flashes, I don't feel particlary hot I just sweat all over my body, worse if I do any physcial activity. I vacummed yesterday and the sweat was litteraly dripping off of me, and then it took a while to stop. I don't think this is med related because I have tred changing meds and it still happens. My Dr. says it is IC related but I have not read anywhere here anybody else complaining about it. It has been happng for a long time and it does seem to be flare related.I had a gluecose tolerance test a few days ago and the drink they get you to drink caused me to flare right away, and I have been sweatng since.
Any thoughts on this welcome

well a lot of meds can make you sweat more....
and make sure you have some water to help you keep cool too....
but yeah i do find things make me sweat more....
and when i am flaring i usually get chills and sorta hot flashes too....
so at least you know your not the only one....
i don't have a real answer to it yet but definitely try to get some water to try and cool down from those sweaty times....
yeah this IC thing is weird....:loco:
i hope this sorta helped...

I do the same thing any activity and I have sweat dripping off of me, sometimes when I am hurting really bad I wake up soaked and have to change night clothes. I thought it was meds but I'm starting to see more that it relates to the amount of pain I am in. It is getting better though and not happening as often, I hope this is a sign the elmiron is finally starting to work!!

What a great question!!! I don't think that I've ever noticed that I sweat more during a flare... but I definitely sweat more and feel nausea, etc. if I'm having an IBS flare.

Yes! I have found lately that I've been sweating more. When I'm getting ready for work , I am constantly patting my face and I placing my body in front of a big fan we keep going in our computer room. I even blowdry my hair on a cooler setting! I thought I was having hot flashes but now that you brought this up, I wonder if it could be IC related. Think Positive! :smile tee

Yes I sweat all the time 24/7 latley alot worse when I am flaring which happened with my 1st bladder instill and has not gone away!I am to have another one on tuesday and will cancel if i am still flaring.I quess this is quite common with the instills but I thought they were supposed to help!!Takind Elmiron,(3wweks)and Atarax but that makes me very irritable.Sometimes the burning and swelling of the abdomen is enough to make me want to die,it helps to know there are others out there who are going through this too!

I have definitely noticed that I sweat alot more and it does eem to be wose when I am flaring. I have been a bad flare for about 3 months and I have sweating so much that my husband just a little while ago asked me why. He says that at night he rolls over to hug me and I am soaed with sweat, he wondered if this was normal or if it was the meds.
What a great question.........

Mothergoose,
So you have had a Glucose Tolerance Test recently? Are you diabetic? A low blood sugar can cause excessive sweating.
I sweat alot as well. I just thought I was a hot blooded mama or just menopausal. Hmmmmmm!

I stay sweat all the time too! Mine could be related to IC, but not only do I have IC problems I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome which messes with my hormones. And, ever since I took Depro shot for my Endometreosis, which put me into pre menopause for 6 months my thermostat hasn't quite ever been the same!!!:bonk: I keep the air conditioning between 65 to 68 degrees never above, fans always on, getting ready I have a tower fan right on me and at work at the post office I have 2 clip fans on my case!! I burn up all the time! So, I'm probably getting a double dose, don't you think?? My poor husband has to has two extra blankets on him at night to sleep!! But, the funny thing my hands, feet and nose stay cold 90% of the time go figure!! I can be burning up, but my feet a block of ice!! I'm not right, I have finally faced it!! :smile tee

I was dx with IC 4 years ago. Lately though, I have noticed that I feel very warm and sweat more. I don't know if it is because of hormones going crazy or the IC. I am 43 and still have regular periods. I hope I am not starting the menopause early. Even at night, I feel very warm.
