I now have also been dx with RSD( just another to add to the list,at least i know whats been causing some of my other issues Monday i will be undergoing a heart cath b/c my heart valve is leaking (?) i guess and on Tuesday i will be induced into a 3 day coma and have ketamine treatments.. Very nervous worried about the hallucations it causes plus all the other numerous side affects ... any one ever have this done it seems very scary to me the whole coma thing ... I wish you the best and pray for you during your heart cath tomorrow. Why the ketamine treatments for what? I worked as recovery room RN for 20 years yes we did use ketamine but in the earlier days. I have recovered patients from ketamine. They also give ketamine iv to kids in the ER when they need to reset a closed reduction of a fracture. I never had a patient have hallucinations on ketamine. However, the nurse and others around the patient quietness is key. They should be very quiet no loud noises around you to awake you. I would bet they are going to use a low dose of ketamine and you are going to be just fine.......... the ketamine questions direct them right to the anesthesiologist MD he this is his speciality and that is who administers it. Let us know.

Man they sure are putting you through some major tests here my friend. I will say a prayer for you tonight as I am sure others on this board are as well. Vicky
