Sunburns are definitely not fun, but I've don't flare when I get one --- I burn very easily. Did you by any chance drink any sodas?
I hope you feel better very quickly.

I am going to add to Donna's question about soda by asking what type of water or any other liquids did you drink? Did you eat something that you don't normally eat? Finding what triggers a flare can be complicated, but usually we can get to the answer by remembering what we did that was different from what we normally do when we feel good.
I also find that if I don't feel good generally, my bladder wants to join in and raise a ruckus. Seems like it doesn't want to be left out. ;) :(

no, i only brought water with me to drink and even all my snacks were ic-safe (i made sure of that). maybe it's just a coincidence but it seems kind of weird to me. i guess if stress can trigger a flare, though, then why not a horribly painful sunburn.

Did you put anything on the sunburn? Although I have never flared from sunburn I can immagine flaring from the heat....since I am not great at making sure I replenish all the fluid in my body. Also remember anything you put on your skin gets into your body and thus can get into your bladder so if you treat the sunburn with something you woudn't want to put on yoru bladder that may be the problem too. Otherwise best guess is misery loves company and pain causes stress...thus spreading pain. I so hope you feel better soon! :grouphug:

Did you swim while you were there? I have heared stories of the salt water in the ocean causing a flare.

Most ICers can swim in the ocean with no problem.

i did swim in the ocean... i used vitamin E on the burns, which i wouldn't think would cause a flare. i'm all better now, though, thankfully! luckily it wasn't too bad, i was just wondering if there could be any connection. thanks for all the help :)
