Im having a brain fart , I know I saw an article on here on in office cystos vs hospital cystos w hydro ? In the article a doctor explained how IC was not usually detected when using in office cystos . Does anyone know the link to this or how I can find it ? I cant remeber how I did it last time and when I did a search it just brought up the forum posts on cystos ?? Help please ?

I didn't see the article, but I know my physician at the Cleveland Clinic said an in office cystoscope often does not diagnose IC because they can't often perform a hydrodistention (filling the bladder with sterile water to its capacity). Hydros are SO painful and they really require anesthesia. Also, my bladder appears completely normal with a cystoscope until they hydrodistend it. Then, the cracks and bleeding areas show up. I believe that is the big difference between having one in the office versus the hospital.
