Has anyone heard of this?
My old rx for Urelle was a year old so uro prescribed a "new" version of Urelle which is much stronger than the old one. Its supposed to be especially good for burning.
Thanks.

Actually I prefer the old one. This one goes through you fast and doesn't seem quite as effective to me.

The old one took almost a day (for me) to turn my urine blue where this one its just an hour or so.

Hi Roandro --

So how does it work for burning, does it help?

I felt the "old" one was much better.

This one seemed "bluer" than ever but kind of watery and not as powerful.

After I finished my protocol of 5 days, 4 per day I didn't feel as good as I hoped but 'am a little better.

I would call it a "rough landing."

What was REALLY weird was that sometimes my urine was deep, deep royal blue (!!) and sometimes it was plain old yellow - even taking it within the same 6 hour time frame.

Where was the "blue" hiding when it wasn't showing itself?

Urelle does nothing for me (I think I have the "new" stuff). I had a UTI last weekend and tried it in lieu of pyridium because that stuff makes me so sick to my stomach...I was hoping the Urelle would have the same effect, but no such luck. Same thing with Urised. So I'm stuck taking the pyridium, but only when I absolutely HAVE to.

I'm glad I have a stash of the "old" stuff in my medicine cabinet for emergencies.

Is the "new" Urelle called Utira-C or does it have a different name? Because my specialist gave me Utira -C in May and said they had quit making Urelle!! But, it was ok with me! I took a few samples of Urelle and got extremely nasuated!! But, if you are talking about utria-c, you do have to keep it in your system! Walmart couldn't get my refill in on time and I suffer 4 very Painfully days without it!! Someone let me know if Utira-C is the new name or Urelle?
Thank you,
Julie

I looked at the bottle and it says:

Urelle Tablet PHA

I "googled" it and couldn't find a thing. The nurse at the uro's office is the one that said it was new and better for burning but that wasn't my experience!

Prosed turns your pee blue much later and is a combo drug. I don't know if they are the same are not but maybe if the new urelle doesn't work you could try prosed/ds. I will not take it long term because my mind is not so sharp anymore and I just read anticholinergics such as hyoscamine which is in prosed can cause faster mental/physical decline in older folks but I guess pain can too so it is a tradoff. Ask doctor about prosed/ds.

As you can see by my "signature" I am a believer in alternative medicine and hate to take rx's, too.
I just discovered the wonders of homeopathic again - wow! So far, knock on wood, cantharsis 30x has really helped my burning/slight but irritating urgency.
I'm post menopausal, too.
