Is this normal?

I'm going to make this post as short as I can.

As im in horrid pain right now.

But my period is late, but I have the most PAINFUL cramps that ive ever had. last night i was so nauseas i started throwing up in the shower, bawled myself to death. I didnt sleep much.

It feels like my period is gonna start but nothing...

my back is killing me. im in sooo much pain. this is not normal for me.

i havent eaten much in days. tried baths, heating pad, tens.

i feel like im gonna keel over.

I took percocet and that didnt help.

has anyone had this happen.

I think you really should get in touch with your doctor; I know it's Sunday, but hopefully someone is on call for him/her so you can get some direction. If this is something new for you, definitely check it out.

wow i feel horrible you still are in pain contact your doctor in the am or go to urgent care if you cant sleep i use to have terrible periods (RECIEVED HYSTERECTOMY IN 07) due to severe endometrosis after multiple laps and endometrial spots lazered. GOOD LUCK AND LOTS OF LOVE AND GOD BLESS.keep me informed im going to be hospitaled for the next week starting in the am tomorrow for my IC pain and surgeries i will keep checkin pm me.:pray:

I hope you've been to your doctor today... if not... please go if the pain continues to be so bad. The ER isn't a bad idea either. Please let us know how you are doing.

went to ER at 12:45pm and waited for 7 hours.


and nobody ever saw me. so at 7pm i just left bawling.

they let people who waited as little as an hour ahead of me.

not to mention by blood pressure was sky high when it was taken.

im in s o much pain

i dont know what to do.
i dont know if i should go to another er.

i cant keep food down. i havent eaten much in days.

im sick. and no one cares...


I hate IC...

I all this.

im just fed up.

Jamie--WE CARE!!! Please hang in there! I know how frustrating it is. I spent an entire day in the ER last week and I was brought in via ambulance.
I am so sorry you are going through all this!

How are you doing? did you go to another ER? were you able to contact your dr? I really do hope that you have seen someone by now. please let us know how you are.

So after spending allday at this So called "wonderful" hospital everyone raves about here. I was pretty LIVID

before I even went I called the nurse at my Dr's office and she said go to the ER since I was in really horrid pain. I figured id go to the one that im insured through and the one my dr's are affiliated with.

so thats what I did.

I got treated like dirt.

in triage they never took my vitals etc. never asked me what meds i was on.

3 hours later my mom says um im gettin worse. they lost my chart.

then decide to take my vitals. blood pressure sky high.

realized i was put in the wrong batch. put me in another batch. said there was only 2 people ahead of me and id be called back shortly.

made me wait longer. sat there another couple more hours

and by 7pm somehow everyone who had walked in at 5pm got ahead of me even though i was there at 12:45pm....like 6 hours earlier.

so at 7pm I just left because they said there was 12 ahead of me. even though i was the only left from noon.

pretty much treated like dirt and like i was soem hypchondriatic.

I left thinking i'll just try to wait it out until I go see my dr friday.

then at around 8:30 the pain got worse. my dad convinced me to go to a closer ER by my house.

sat for only 30 minutes. got called back. and they took me right in before others.

SO apparently SEVERE abdominal pain is serious to them...

so they did a pelvic. checked for infection. looked fine. but then they wanted to go a CT of my lower abdomen.

and well.

I have a HUGE cyst on my left ovary!!!!!!!!!!!

I only wish i could call up that other ER and get them in trouble.

anyways...

im home...and still in loads of pain.

but im just glad that i know whats wrong...

i just feel like a walking train wreck tho:(

I would see who you can contact or call the administrator of the Ers that you went to so they can investigate what happened so that it doesn't happen to others. I am glad you found out what it is! hope you feel better soon!

I would send a letter to the Administrator of the hospital that treated you so horribly. And send a copy to the hospital licensing agency in your state.

That's just not appropriate treatment.

:flower: Hope your doing better and have pain under control. I know how the ER can be disappointing. I was taken in a ambulance about a month ago, and I still had to wait. The doctor was not sympathetic at all. I felt like I was a big pain to them, and that I was just looking for drugs! We shouldn't have to feel this way! Well this is the first cyst...that I know of.

so im very scared...and nervous. but I will ask my doctor friday about what's next.

Im thinking it might not be the first since I started missing periods alot since January.

I am suppose to go for a pelvic ultrasound at the hospital that I went to last night.

But I may wait and have my doctor schedule one through OU since I am insured through that one.

Im just afraid they may send me to this diagnostic testing center that makes you wait for your results IN THAT HORRIBLE ER!

and if that is the case. I wont be afraid to speak my mind on that one.


I was beginning to feel nuts yesterday. like question if I was in extreme pain...but yet again. I WAS

Glad you found out whats going on, and sorry you had so much trouble. I had a cyst and was in lots of pain, I ended up having to have surgery, it burst and they thought it best to go in and clean it up, this helpped alot, they also removed 5 other cycsts much smaller. Once this was done the pain went away. They do not always do this, and they don't always burst.

Oh gosh! I just read your post and I am horrified at the treatment you received from the first hospital. I am sooooo sorry you had to go through that. No one should. Sometimes health care workers get very jaded and unsympathetic. You so don't deserve that. I hope you're feeling better now. *hugs*

ps. I had appendicitis last November and they made me wait in in the er waiting room for 6 hours. My appendix could have burst. It was like they didn't believe I was really in that much pain. :(
