How many times do I try nerve blocks?

Hi guys, I have a few questions about nerve blocks. I had my first nerve block in March, and another done in April. They were both done on my left side of the spine, and neither seemed to do anything. In June I had a small trip planned with my husband. So, I decided to try again to see if I could have a more comfortable trip. This time he did it in the right side and was "more agressive" I felt great-but it only lasted two weeks. I have another appt for July 11th to do another. Has anyone had much luck with these lasting for any great length of time? Did you have to have a few done for it to last? I wouldn't mind getting these if they would last longer-those two weeks were GREAT. And, I need to check with insurance to see how many they cover. This is something my pain doc has never pushed on me. I have heard others say they think it is a quick buck for the Doc. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

do they do the blocks for IC? I have had about 8 caudel epidural nerve blocks without sucess my doc wants to do them every 4 weeks instead of every 3 months without any sucess i dont believe i will have another. The helped for the first couple times for a couple weekls, i always have a caudel right into the sacram above the tailbone.

As far as how often to do the nerve blocks I guess depends on you and your dr. I have had injections as often as once a week in the past. My dr said if they help he would keep doing them but I was only getting an hour or two of relief so they stopped the injections.
