Hi Everyone-
I just wanted to reach out to those of you who are looking for some relief. I did not find much difference with flare-ups or pain when I tried medication (Elmiron, Neurontin, or Elavil), nor did I find acupuncture helpful (although it got rid of my fear of needles!) However, I found a wonderful pelvic floor physical therapist that has helped me into remission. Here is her specific website (http://www.denisealberto.com/) but I am sure there are many such therapists around the country & world. My urologist had also mentioned biofeedback therapy (which I haven't tried). My initial urologist had not recommended either of these options, so I thought that I would share them with you. I have also found that I cannot do any sort of high-impact exercise without causing my IC to flare. Hopefully this can send someone some relief!
