What do I do?

Hey everyone, I am burning so bad right now. Whta can I do to help ease the pain? I have pyridum but it isn't helping any. Please some advice.

Sorry you're going through this! Of all my symptoms the burn is the one I can least tolerate.

My first line of defense is drinking lots of untreated water to flush out my bladder. Keeping a bottle of cool water in the bathroom to rinse with after urinating really seems to help. I also find relief sitting in the bath-tub doing crossword puzzles.

Any chance it could be an infection?

Too bad the pyridium isn't helping! Perhaps you have a doctor who could give you something stronger? (I don't, unfortunately!)

Have you been checked to be certain you don't have an infection? If not, I think it would be a good idea.

Hope you feel better...sometimes taking a sitz bath might help depending on where the burning is. Definitely call doc or advice nurse to see what they can do. For me, I have Lidocaine Ointment to use when needed. I also have to use that when I go for pelvic PT.

If you're able to tolerate it, try the baking soda in water (1 tsp baking soda to 8 oz of water). It seems lots of people on here find relief with this trick.

Hi there. I use Myprodol which is an anti-inflammatory pain killer, maybe it'll help you for the moment. I use it off and on with quite good results.

these both work much better than pyridium for bladder burning and urgency. Your doctor's office shouldn't have an issues calling in a prescription of one those in for you. I take utira-c which is a generic of urelle. See if your doctor can get those for you. Good luck
