O.k I'm miserable in TN! I am on my second outbreak of poison ivy/sumac/oak in two weeks time.

I suffered thru the first bout a few weeks ago because it was on my left hand and right knee.

This time it is down the back of my scalp to the neckline. ALL over the left side of my face and it started going into my eye. Soooo today I went for a cortizone shot. That was right after church.....and I still feel awful.

Now it has popped up on my arm and in-between my fingers..........

I need a gardener.....thanks for letting me vent my 'yard woes'...

Oh you poor thing! It is so miserable to itch! I've been in my garden today barefoot and my feet are itchy but I dont have what you do, thank God! Have you tried oatmeal bath yet? They say that they help. Or maybe even a milk bath by putting powdered milk in the bathtub? When I have been itchy before, I mixed some of my Lidocaine with the topical Cortisone. It helped some too. I hope the itching calms down soon!

If you have it in your yard, you can pick up the cheapest vinegar you can find, put it in a watering can and spray the weeds. I was amazed to find that vinegar does kill weeds and grass too!

We have poison oak in our country, but I grew up around poison ivy and I know that's miserable too.

I hope you feel better very soon.

Donna

How awful! We don't have any of that nasty stuff up here thankfully! But when visiting California my daughter got into some poison oak, -I never saw anything quite like that! Nasty, nasty, nasty! I remember how miserable she was and really feel for you!

Hope it clears up soon!

Oh, and if you get a gardener,...make sure he's good lookin'!
