Sometimes it takes a little concentration to get the flow going. Other times not. Sometimes it stops and starts. I have started pushing on my lower IC belly which helps. But I don't think it's a good idea. Opinions on this?:loco:

Are you on any medications that might cause this? I honestly think you should talk with your doctor.
Pushing on your abdomen shouldn't do any harm as long as you're not straining. After I had a surgery, I was instructed to double a fist and press on the bladder area and lean forward to help.

Sometimes I have to rock back and forth to get my stream started. Oh the things we have to do to do what should be natural. :lmao:

Back when I had that was a problem for me. I did like Cara and leaned forward most of the time. I also had a water bottle that I would squirt on myself to help me go. I learned that tip on here. Before that I would run the faucet like I did when my kids were little.

Hi everyone,
I push gently but I will stop and lean forward like some of you have suggested. Also waiting until I have more water in me is a good idea. This board is a Godsend. I get ideas here from people who have been there that help me more than any doctor did. Don't misunderstand, doctors are wonderful and should be consulted and none of us here are doctors. But, we do have collective experience that perhaps the doctor hasn't experienced. By the way, no medication I take causes this. Thank you all,:woohoo:
