Prenatal Vitamins

Hi,
I was wondering if there is a particular type or brand of prenatal vitamins that is IC friendly? I have been given a few to try but I'm not very optimisitic. I'm ready to give this baby making thing a try.

I don't know about particular brands, but you make want to skip prenatals altogether. Most contain a stool softener because vitamins (especially multi-vitamins and in high doses) can cause constipation, and you may have, like I did, an adverse reaction to that. The high vitamin doses may also trigger flares, especially if you're sensitive to citric foods like I am.

However, you should definitely consider taking folic acid supplements. You can find them in any pharmacy or health food store.

I tried about three different kinds of pre-natal vitamins and every one made me flare. My doctor said it was O.K. to just keep taking the Centrum I was taking and I was fine.
