I was not sure where to post this but can you tell me what meds you are on. I am trying to get my PCP to prescribe something else that might work in combination with the pain meds. I am working on a new urologist that will help me the last two have written me off because I am not a typical case, there isn't anything the can do for me.
SO any info would be greatly appreciated..........

When my doctor sent me to the pain clinic (for migraines) they said they prescribe Lyrica for everything: Fibromyalgia, headaches, knee replacements. They said it's the best non-narcotic pain relief they've found and they thought it would help with the IC pain too.

They did write me a script, and I took it for a few weeks. I didn't notice any difference, but I probably didn't give it enough time. Budget requires that I stick to only about 3 or 4 meds, and I really wasn't willing to give up my Elmiron or Ambien, and the migraines are less now that I'm on muscle relaxers.

I see that you take medication for breakthrough pain. Maybe if you were on a regular dose of Lyrica, you wouldn't need that anymore. You might want to talk to your doctor about Lyrica.

I wish you all the best!

I see you are takin 15 short acting meds. Unless you are taking formulaas without tylenol it appears you are consuming a lot of tylenol. If you need this amount of short acting meds have you thought about possible a long acting med? Maybe you would get better pain relief and cut down on your tylenol consumption, as well as the amount of pills you take. I have been told that meds like Lyrica and Neurontin help pain meds work better. Maybe one of those would help
