Has anyone tried Green Healing center for accupuncture in Philadelphia? I've been trying to call them to get info but have not received a response. Just wondering if it was worth my time and money to give it a try.

I don't live there but I do have acupuncture done regularly by my pain mgmt doctor. It helps me a great deal. It really helps me with my back pain and my fibro pain and I have seen a slight difference in the IC. He doesn't put the needles in my abdomen, I've never asked him to, I just get it on both sides of my spine and on my knees if they're bothering me.
I'd say yes, definitely try it...it's been worth it for me.

hi there -
Dr. Shi is an acupuncturist with an office in Philly (18th and Chestnut). She studied IC with Kristene Whitmore, MD for years. She's been treating me since March and I feel like my body has more energy, is stronger, and I've improved. She has a real interest in IC.
I've been getting acupuncture treatments and Chinese herbs from her for about 3 months. The change was gradual and subtle, but if you're following the diet and doing acupuncture you may notice some improvement - I think it also depends on how severe your case is. Either way it is worth a try!
Good luck...

I too have had Accupuncture before from my pain Doc. and it helped. I always felt more relaxed and my pain level decreased for a few days. My fibro was helped too. I would try it at least once or twice to see if it would be benificial for you.
Take care and God bless, Cassandra
