I'm in Pendleton, OR. Yeehaw! We moved here in December. Before that, we were in Tri Cities, WA (a couple of years). Before that we were in the Seattle area. My youngest daughter was born in Renton, WA.
Glad to see some others in the northwest! :)

Wow, we're close to each other! Could you recommend a good dr?
I have heard of Dr. Holtz, a bladder specialist in Hermiston. Is he a good one?

Brandy, there's a support group in Portland. I'm not sure when they meet, however.

ok, I am not in Oregon but I am in South Eastern Washington (Tri-Cities). I go to a dr in Richland too. I am glad that you are close by! GlitterinGlory, did you go to that specialist in Hermiston? Another question, the dr I have here says that there are no good Physical therapists around here. Anyone know of any? For Pelvic Floor problems?

I am a technically a Vancouver Wa person but I live 2 mile over the bridge from Portland. I grew up in Portland and after my husband and I divorce I may just move back there because I have some amazing docs there. My urologist is Doc. Jaroslova Zobec of Urology Associates. She is terrific. I adore her. And she is very adament re: PT of pelvic floor. When things get bad for me she sends me even though I whine. Unfortunately, you live so far away. You'd almost need to h ave a buddy or get a friend in the area to stay with for your appointments you need a uro who believes in you.

Hi Tri Cities IC member! We are about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Tri Cities. We go to Tri Cities (Kennewick) every Saturday for church. Also, my inlaws live there.
I see a urologist in Pendleton (Dr. Gordon). I am happy she is right down the road from me! I don't know of any physical therapists in the area as I haven't been to any. However, I think I have pelvic floor disfunction, too. I have an uncomfortable feeling underneath my bladder area. Grr. I am planning to talk to my urologist about it in early November when I have an appointment. I will let you know if I find a good physical therapist if she sends me to one.
Hi Angela! I am back from our long trip away-we were in Vancouver (funny I see someone lives there on here! :) I was just there a week ago!) And then, we were in Newport for 9 days.
I think I know every bathroom from here to Newport. And my bladder cushion for the car came in handy! :)

I am seeing a gyn here in Richland, actually there are 2 at this certain practice that has an actual interest in IC. I haven't really had alot of luck with Uro's. But I have a mild case of IC (well I guess I haven't officially been dx) but intercourse sends me into a flair and so do the no no foods. I have no pain and the uros I have talked to said that no pain = no IC......Yeah right!

Cherish,
I had a Uro that was out of Corvallis, but he moved his practice to Salem. His name is Dr Bashey and he does specialize in IC. Excellent doctor! He has a very good NP as well and her name is Terry Moore.

I remember on here someone saying that they saw a PT in Vancouver. I think the PT was a female. Ringing any bells?

Hi everyone, I am in Vancouver, Wa. Right at the base of the bridge that leads into Portland Oregon.
Brandy, can you recommend any good doctors in Vancouver. UROs or PCP? My PCP retired and I'm searching for someone new. Thanks!

I do have a friend that lives in Vancouver. Does your pt help? I just really think I have pfd, sometimes my muscles "down there" get all screwed up. Its kinda hard to explain. Just wondering how the pt goes. Does it take months and months to see benifits?

Hi-
I have IC, fibromyalgia, poly cystic ovarian syndrome, other pelvic area problems, various allergies, cysts in my uterus, hypopnea and sleep apnea (I just found out about the last 2 conditions).
My niece, Sarah, who is 20 has Crohn's disease too. She gets treatments for it regularly.
I see a great, female doctor in SW Portland-Dr. Zoubek.
You are welcome to email me anytime. IC can be a lonely condition, since not many people understand it. Hang in there!
Big Hug!

I was recently diagnosed in May of this year. I live in Hillsboro, OR and see a Urologist by the name of Dr. Rosencrantz. I was never given anything for the pain and was told I could go about my everyday life once I started the Elmirion. Yeah, that hasn't happened lol. Honestly, I would love to talk to someone in my area who has IC. It's so hard for me to talk to anyone since no one has even heard of it before. Never knew just how hard something like this could be.
